Summary:

We wanted to create a better experience for grocery shopping. Our idea was to come up with a digital kiosk and a customer recommendation board. By using UX design methodologies such as, user interviews, ideation design prototyping, sketches, storyboarding, prototyping, we were able to come up these ideas.

Interviews & Evaluations

Interviews

From my interview, I was able to find out that the interviewee prefers both in-person and online shopping. She thinks both have their own pros and cons and that it mainly depends on the buyer who decides to purchase products right away or wait for some time. She highlighted ideas of coming up with solutions needed for increasing interactions between customers and sales assistants as well as increasing the Visibility of available items (stocks). I was able to notice that buyers often choose to purchase a familiar product (which they have already used in the past) since it’s reliable. Additionally, after the interview, I wanted to focus on improving the problems of time-consuming inconveniences occurring when grocery shopping.
